Research-based knowledge is a stepping stone for development and innovation in society. Our research has a strong impact on how digitalisation related challenges can be tackled – at a societal level as well as in organisations and by individuals.

How can information and communication technologies (ICT) systems be designed, developed and used in different contexts? And how do ICT systems relate to people, organisations and society? These questions are always at the centre of our attention.

The research portfolio at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) spans a number of topics, such as digital transformation, AI, data science, cyber security and e-democracy. A lot of our research projects are connected to health, care, education, governance, security and/or games.

The research environment at DSV is genuinely international and multidisciplinary, and we collaborate with many private and public organisations. More than 80 senior researchers and 90 PhD students are working together to build new knowledge and develop the field of computer and systems sciences.

If you are looking for a researcher to interview or to include in a panel discussion, reach out to presskontakt@dsv.su.se
