Congratulations on being accepted as a PhD student! How does it feel?
It feels great fun, and a little nervous, but mostly fun!

Tell us about your research project!
As I have only had time to do a first PM, some pieces are still a bit up in the air, but the overall topic of the project is corporate crime and the research method is quantitative. The idea of the project is to investigate Swedish companies that have been imposed special legal effects (such as damages, corporate fines or other sanctions) as a result of legal violations. As I am very interested in companies and corporate crime, my master's thesis had a similar orientation (albeit on a smaller scale and more defined) and it was during the work on this that the idea for the current project arose. In addition to my own interest in the subject, it was also judged to be relevant on a larger level, as Swedish quantitative research regarding corporate crime is very limited.

The first step will be to do a deeper investigation of the data availability and possible approaches in terms of data collection, as this is absolutely crucial for the final design of the project and the continued work.

What are you looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to most things, I'd say, but if I'm going to highlight something specific, it's probably data collection and later analysis of the material. Those are the parts that I think are the most fun.

What have you done before?
A bit of all sorts, but for the past year I have been working as a research assistant. Before I began my education in criminology, I studied Human Resources and Work Science at Linköping University and then worked as a recruiter for two years before I changed my path and focused on criminology instead.

What is your previous education?
In addition to the previously mentioned education, I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree focused on criminology from Stockholm University.
