Study abroad

Do you dream of studying abroad? Below you can get tips and information on how this can be done.

In addition to language skills, studying abroad also provides an international experience that is today highly sought after in the labor market.

Stockholm University's exchange agreements and networks exist at two different levels: departmental level and central level. The application procedure differs between the two levels and therefore it is important that you identify which level the agreement is at before you apply.

Through Erasmus studies, it is possible to study for one semester at one of the department's partner universities in Europe. As an Erasmus student, you have the right to apply for an Erasmus grant in addition to your regular study support and you can also credit yourself with these studies in your Swedish degree with a Learning Agreement from the department.

In addition to Stockholm University's central agreement, the department has an ERASMUS agreement with:

Paris, France
Université Paris, Panthéon Sorbonne

Bilbao, Spain
University of Deusto

Lissabon, Portugal
Universidade de Lisboa

We have a limited number of places for each exchange agreement. The highest priority is given to students who study our bachelor's program and a selection is made based on the students with the highest grades on our courses. Then we take in students who study independent courses with us, based on grades on our courses. If you are not registered with our department, you are not authorized to apply for an exchange via our agreements.
