About Andreas Madestam

Andreas obtained his PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics and has been a teacher and researcher at the Department of Economics, Stockholm University, since 2012. His research areas are development economics and political economy.

In the autumn of 2023, Andreas Madestam was awarded by the Swedish House of Finance for a forthcoming publication in the Review of Economic Studies, one of the top five journals in economics. Read more here:
