Anna Seim defended her doctoral thesis in 2007 and subsequently joined the Department of Economics, where she also serves as the deputy head.

In addition to her research work, Anna has external assignments, including roles at the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council, the National Institute of Economic Research, and the Swedish National Debt Office.
