Johannes Haushofer receives the Frisch Medal Award

Johannes Haushofer, Professor of Economics at Stockholm University, receives the Frisch Medal Award for a publication in the top-ranked journal Econometrica.

About the report

The report demonstrates the effect of cash transfers to over ten thousand poor households across randomized villages in rural Kenya. The researchers find large impacts on consumption and assets for recipients.

Johannes Haushofer has written the report along with Dennis Egger, Edward Miguel, Paul Niehaus, and Michael Walker. It was published in Econometrica in November 2022.
