Martin Flodén and Roine Vestman, Professors of Economics at Stockholm University, are appointed board members of Finansinspektionen, the Swedish financial supervisory authority.

The government’s decision to appoint Martin Flodén and Roine Vestman board members was made at the government meeting on 27 July. Their terms run from 1 July 2024 to 24 April 2027.
Martin Flodén has been a professor of economics at Stockholm University since 2010. Between 2013 and 2024, he was a board member of the Riksdag and deputy governor of the Riksbank. He will return to his position as a researcher at Stockholm University in the fall semester of 2024.
Roine Vestman has been a researcher in economics at Stockholm University since 2012. In 2024, he was appointed professor and also director of CeMoF, the Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability.
