Roine Vestman, Professor of Economics at Stockholm University, has been appointed as the director of CeMoF, the Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability.

Starting 1 May
President Astrid Söderbergh Widding has appointed Roine Vestman as the director for the period between 1 May 2024 and 31 December 2026. Roine succeeds Anna Seim, who will become deputy governor of the Riksbank later in May.
CeMoF was founded in 2021 after Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) had announced a grant to promote research in monetary policy and financial stability at a Swedish university. Per Krusell, from the Institute for International Economic Studies, is the deputy director.
On 29 April, CeMoF will host an annual workshop at the Riksbank for PhD students. Caterina Mendicino (ECB) is the keynote speaker. Read about the workshop:
Roine is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Economics, Stockholm University, since 2012. Roine also serves as a board member at AP7 and as scientific advisor to the Swedish Debt Office (Riksgälden).
