Sten Nyberg is interviewed in Ekonomiekot Extra on Radio Sweden. The correlation between insufficient competition and ongoing price hikes is the focus of the programme.

"What role does lack of competition play in the price hikes?" host Hanna Malmodin asks.

"Competition does play a role in price levels. In cases of poor competition, prices tend to be a bit higher and, in the worst case, the quality might also be a bit lower", Sten Nyberg replies.

Other guests are Martin Mandorff and Arvid Fredenberg from Konkurrensverket, Erik Thedéen from Riksbanken, Magnus Groth from Essity, and Carl Eckerdal from Livsmedelsföretagen.

Sten Nyberg is a Professor of Economics, as well as Head of the Department of Economics at Stockholm University.
