Lifelong learning for successful lives in aging societies
Three simultaneous trends are working individually and together to disrupt the way life was lived in the last 50 years. The world population is aging, knowledge is growing exponentially and new technologies are proliferating. Lifelong learning is essential for individuals to live successful lives of purpose. Societies are responsible for a fair distribution of opportunities for meeting learning objectives for people developing over their lifetime. If not, the consequences will be major with intergenerational impacts. Life and learning were never more closely linked.
