Ellen Marklund accepted as docent in linguistics

The Department of Linguistics congratulates Ellen Marklund on being appointed as docent in linguistics. The decision was made by the Board of the Faculty of Humanities at Stockholm University in April 2023.

Ellen Marklund has a background as both a student and a researcher at Stockholm University. She had a phonetic focus in her education and worked concurrently with her studies on various research projects in the Phonetics Laboratory of the Department of Linguistics.

In 2017, she defended a PhD thesis on infant language development during the first year of life, titled Perceptual reorganization of vowels: Separating the linguistic and acoustic parts of the mismatch response

In recent years, Ellen Marklund has worked as a researcher in several externally funded projects at the Department of Linguistics. Currently, she is affiliated with the research subject of child language development and works within the Stockholm Babylab group.

The decision to aceept Ellen Marklund as a docent was made by the Board of the Faculty of Humanities in April 2023.
