New PhD courses with a focus on fMRI data
Stockholm University Brain Imaging Centre (SUBIC) is co-organizing two new PhD courses, starting in January 2022. The courses are planned and offered in cooperation between the Department of Linguistics, the Department of Psychology and Karolinska Institutet.
Stockholm University Brain Imaging Centre (SUBIC) opened in 2018 and is an advanced multidisciplinary infrastructure dedicated to experimental academic research on brain function and structure. The centre offer state of the art imaging technologies, including EEG, TMS, MRI, fMRI, X-ray imaging, for fundamental and applied academic research within the humanities, behavioural sciences, law and natural sciences.
PhD Courses from January 2022
Starting next year, two new PhD courses focusing on experimental design and analysis of fMRI data, will be offered at SUBIC. Imaging in neuroscience: with a focus on functional magnetic resonance imaging methods is offered in two versions, one of 1.5 credits and one advanced of 7.5 credits. PhD students in cognitive sciences, psychology, medicine, biomedicine, biology, medical imaging, computational biology or a humanistic discipline where neuroimaging is used as an experimental tool, are welcome to apply.
Collaboration with Karolinska Institutet
The courses are a result of a collaboration between the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Psychology at Stockholm University and the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.
Application is open between 15 October and 1 December.
