New publication: Classification of voice quality using neck-surface acceleration

Marcin Włodarczak et al present a study in which accelerometers attached to speaker’s tracheal wall below the glottis were used to classify phonation type.

Research project on prosodic functions

This study was done within the research project Prosodic functions of voice quality dynamics, which is funded by the Swedish Research Council. The project is conducted at the Department of Linguistics, Stockholm University, in collaboration with the Division of Speech, Music and Hearing at KTH and the Faculty of Linguistics and Literary Studies at Bielefeld University.
