Send us a description of your research – and we'll create your project page

Please don't forget to submit a description of your research to the e-mail address forskningssidan@ims.su.se. This will help us to create your project page. The former research database was phased out on January 1, 2023. You can also find out how to add a picture, publications and descriptions of your research on your own individual profile page for employees.

On July 1, 2022, we launched the new research pages on ims.su.se, which means that the migration of our departmental website to the new web2021-templates has been finalized.

Here you will find information about 30 research projects connected to the Department of Media Studies/Stockholm University. As we want our research pages to reflect the research of the whole department, we would still need more project descriptions from our researchers.

Here are the same instructions as in previous e-mails

Though the web2021 project is no longer our main focus, we are still creating web pages for research projects on the web. Unfortunately, there was no easy way to automatically migrate the information from the former research database as the platform structures were different. This is why we still need your help to get the latest information directly from you.

How to improve your visibility as a researcher | Taylor & Francis

A great research description can improve your visibility and hopefully also create new opportunities. Grab this opportunity and send us an updated description of your ongoing research. It is of major importance that the introduction and project description is crafted in a popular scientific way, and directed to the public.

Please, fill out one of the templates in the project’s main language (Swedish/English). You can either choose to use a pdf or a word template. Please make sure not to exceed the recommended number of characters.

Then send us an e-mail with your research info to forskningssidan@ims.su.se

If your project is conducted mainly in English, it is considered as the project's "main language". Then you ought to focus on writing an English project description of 500-1000 characters with spaces, and just add 1-2 sentences in Swedish in this case. Or just the other way around!

These "project pages" we are creating are not just dedicated to "research projects", with a clearly defined start and end date. We would like you to send us any information about your ongoing research – no matter if it is externally or internally funded by the department/Stockholm University. If you are a PhD candidate please send us a description of your PhD thesis project.

Tip! You're welcome to copy research descriptions from former applications for external funding, texts from the former research database, or other research-related websites where you might have a research profile. Our previous research database was phased out on January 1, 2023.

Please remember

  • to write in a popular scientific way for the public (i.e. "intresserad allmänhet")
  • that we prioritize ongoing and upcoming research projects that have been approved
  • that research projects older than 2009 will not be published
  • that your text might be edited by the web editor
  • that also PhD candidates are welcome to provide information about ongoing PhD thesis projects

Please download one of these templates. Choose between a word or a fillable pdf document:

Don't forget to submit information to the project pages in "Forskningskatalogen" to the e-mail address:

forskningssidan@ims.su.se

On your individual profile page you can upload a picture of yourself, your latest publications and descriptions (of e.g. education, research) etc.

On the University Staff pages you will find more information and instructions for you profile page. Have a look at how some of our colleagues updated their profile pages on their own:

If you visit your own profile page for employees in Polopoly, you will find a tab entitled "Forskning". If you then choose to edit it ("Redigera"), you can then add all of the publications that you have previously added to DiVA, just by clicking on the green plus icon (+). They will then be added to your publication list on our profile page (see below).
