The Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Foundation's Personal Prize has been awarded to Kristina Jonas

Kristina Jonas, a researcher at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, has been awarded the personal prize by the Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Foundation. In addition, she has received a research grant. The amount for both the prize and the grant is 650,000 Swedish kronor.

The Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Foundation works to support scientific research. Annually, a personal award is given to a man or woman who has distinguished themselves through their research. This year, the personal prize was awarded to Kristina Jonas, and in addition a research grant was also awarded, a total of 650,000 Swedish kronor. Kristina received the prize for her studies in biochemical and molecular biological research on bacterial growth and reproduction.

Kristina Jonas comments the annoucements of the prize "It’s a great honor to receive this prize. Previous awardees include really talented scientists in Sweden and I feel honored to be named as one of them. The prize is a recognition of the hard work from present and past members of my research group.“
