Direct procurement requires some type of market survey where offers from at least three different potential suppliers are compared. The offers can be in the form of a quotation, an e-mail or a screen dump from a web shop, where all relevant information like price, delivery time or any other requirement important for the specific purchase are included. The offers must be documented and the choice of supplier must be motivated. The motivation for choosing a supplier must not necessarily be best price.
