Our third student ambassador Oruba introduces herself

Oruba Abu-Hammam is a first year student in the Bachelor's Programme in Physics at Fysikum. Oruba will report from our events on Fysikum's social media. She wants to inspire more people to have the courage to explore the world of science.

"My name is Oruba Abu-Hammam and I'm a first year student of the Bachelor's programme in Physics at Stockholm University. Recently I have lived in Sörmland in Vagnhärad and Strängnäs where I also went to high school. I studied the Science Programme, which is a specialised education in natural sciences at the European School in Strängnäs and chose to study Physics as a specialisation.

In connection with new university studies, I moved to Stockholm, which I had previously commuted to due to commitment, work and studies. I have been involved in civil society for many years, both in Sweden and in other countries.

Through my education, I want to gain a deep and broad understanding of existence, the world and the universe and thus use my knowledge as a tool to work for global justice and contribute to human development.

As Fysikum's student ambassador for Outreach, I want to explore and report on Fysikum's social media about various events to inspire more people to have the courage to explore the scientific world and create greater awareness of Fysikum's events."

All the best,

Oruba Abu-Hammam
