Have you been admitted to a course or programme at the Department of Public Health Sciences? Here you will find some useful links and information about things that are good to know for new students at Stockholm University.

 

Admitted to our Master's programme in Public Health Sciences, 2024?

Welcome to our Master's programme!

You do not have to actively accept your place on the programme. However, if you do not intend to join the programme, it is important that you refuse your place via University Admissions

Please read the information below carefully and follow the preparatory steps as scheduled. If you need to travel to Stockholm, you should arrive at the latest for the programme kick-off on September, 2nd. More information about the kick-off will be sent in mid-June.

Important steps and deadlines:

1. Pay tuition fee

For fee-paying students it is important to remember that your tuition fee must be paid no later than May 15th. Remember to apply for a residence permit for studies as soon as you have paid the fee!

2. Activate your university account

To be able to register for the programme courses and get access to the university's IT services as a new student at Stockholm University, you need to activate your university account. Please be sure to register as soon as it is possible, and no later than September 1st.

NB: You cannot activate your student account or register until August 12!

If you are an international student not having a Swedish personal number you need to visit Infocenter in Studenthuset to receive a one-time code to activate your university account. Please bring a photo ID or passport!

3. Register for your programme courses

To keep your place on the programme, you need to register for your programme courses in Ladok for students no later than September 1. In order to be able to register you must have activated your university account.

4. Log into Athena

After course registration, it is important that you log in to our learning platform Athena to access important course information.
