Conferment ceremony of the LAGLOBE programme

The first conferment ceremony of the Master's Degrees of the LAGLOBE (Latin America and Europe in a Global World) programme was held at Université Sorbonne

The first cohort of LAGLOBE students received their Masters diploma at a ceremony made at the Amphithéâtre Durkheim Université Sorbonne, in Paris. We are very proud about the students and staff participating in this programme, and very happy about the exceptional results performed by all participants along the two years of the programme.

The event was opened by a welcoming speech of M. Michel Magnien, Vice-Président of the Commission de la Formation et de la Vie Universitaire– Université at Sorbonne Nouvelle. It was followed by a round table with Prof. Livio Sansone as keynote speaker, on theme “La décolonisation de l’académie en Amérique latine”.

There was also a speech of the student representative of the LAGLOBE group, Paola Arancibia and final words by Capucine Boidin, Director of the Institut des Hautes Études de l'Amérique Latine (IHEAL). Present at the ceremony was also the Director of the Instituto de Iberoamérica (Salamanca University) and Andrés Rivarola Puntigliano, Director of the Nordic Institute of Latin American studies (NILAS) at Stockholm University.
