Laura Sánchez Trejo´s "Spika-fika/nailing"

Today, we celebrated the “nailing” of Laura Sánchez Trejo´s doctoral thesis. This tradition, known as “spikning” in Swedish, marks the formal announcement of a PhD candidate’s upcoming defense.

Laura´s thesis focuses on the narrative work of the Argentinian writer Mariana Enriquez. The aim is to analyze the use of Gothic conventions to represent and criticize patriarchal violence.
