Kridahl's focus is on elderly research. Since one of the biggest societal challenges in Sweden is the development towards an aging population, this type of research has a particular value. Her efforts are described as "completely decisive for the broadening towards more of aging research that has taken place at SUDA" and that she "in a powerful way [has] contributed to the design of and research production". In addition, she has been "proactive in establishing new research, leading new research collaborations and also organizing new data sources for future quantitative elderly research".
