Please tell us a bit about your background.

I am from Colombia and I completed my undergraduate degree in Government and International Relations at the Externado University of Colombia (Universidad Externado de Colombia). I have always been interested and involved in social projects related to education and that experience and passion led me to choose this master’s programme.

Why did you choose the Master’s Programme in Education with International and Comparative Specialisation?

I chose this program because of the international and comparative opportunities it offers, as well as its multidisciplinary approach to education, in which education goes beyond teaching in the classroom. I felt it could be the perfect next step for me, taking into account my background.

How are you finding your studies so far?

I am really enjoying them! I have learnt a lot and feel much more confident in education and research related topics now. I also feel it has been very fun so far, so I am pretty happy with my studies.

What do you enjoy most about the programme?

I definitely enjoy the diversity of the programme. Having so many nationalities and backgrounds in the same classroom is an incredible opportunity to learn from everyone. I am also really enjoying the growth I feel in myself and the confidence the master’s programme has brought me during this year.

What advice do you have for students who are thinking about applying for the programme?

Check the subjects and the approach of this master’s programme before applying and then analyze if this is really what you want. Once that step is done, just give your 100% and enjoy the application process! Good luck!
