Sweden is an important global actor and funder of development aid, and has a long history of being active in international organizations such as the European Union (EU) or the United Nations (UN). This project will examine how Sweden uses job placements in international organizations to improve development cooperation and aid. The project will examine Swedish job placements in the EU and UN in an international comparative perspective. Using a mixed-methods design involving both quantitative and qualitative methods, it will evaluate how, why, and to what extent job placements help to advance Swedish development goals.
