Today’s international security problems have unique characteristics. They emerge incrementally, over time and space, deepening and interacting with various conditions that hamper effective responses. This project explores the ‘creeping crisis’ – climate related disasters, disinformation campaigns, anti-microbial resistance, and mass migration, for example – and how the international community must respond. This four-year project is funded by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) for the period 2019-2023.

Co-principal investigator: Mark Rhinard.
