We help connect your research and ideas to relevant contacts, resources, and pathways beyond the university. For projects with societal or commercial potential, we support you in exploring appropriate routes, such as collaboration, licensing, or venture creation with the aim of enabling research-based knowledge to create value for society.

Turning research into real-world impact often requires collaboration beyond academia. We support you in identifying and connecting with the right people and organisations, both within Stockholm University and externally – including industry partners, public sector organisations, investors, incubators, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

For ideas with commercial potential, we help you explore suitable pathways such as licensing, partnerships, or starting a company. Our role is to guide you through the process, clarify what is required at each stage, and reduce barriers so you can move forward with confidence.

What we do

• Idea Evaluation
  Assessing the potential of your idea, including novelty, relevance, and possible applications.
  
• Intellectual Property (IP)
  Guidance on protecting your results through patents or other forms of intellectual property.

  Support in exploring how your idea could be developed and used, including business models and potential routes to market.
  
• Funding and connections
  Linking you to relevant funding opportunities, investors, and support structures.

  Early guidance if you are considering forming a company based on your research. For starting a company we collaborate with SU Ventures and other stakeholders.
