Partnerships and collaborations

Stockholm University has a broad collaboration with the society. Researchers collaborate with schools, companies, authorities and organizations, are experts in the media and participate in the public debate. Collaboration between Stockholm University and the City of Stockholm

The collaboration between the City of Stockholm and Stockholm University is primarily focused on climate and environment and on social sustainability. The goal is to strengthen and systematize the manifold collaborations already in existence in many places, and also to improve the conditions for future collaboration.

The agreement has led to several projects, for example in social sustainability. This is an area where the education in social work collaborates with the Social services to integrate theory and practice at an early stage in the training. This in turn strengthens the connection to working life and improves the work environment in the city’s social institutions.

Cultural sector

As Stockholm’s most influential university in the fields of humanities and social sciences, we have research and education collaborations with a large number of museums, theatres and other cultural institutions in the capital.

Dramaten and Stockholm University have a long-term partnership within research and education which enables them in various ways to profit from each other’s competences.

Since 2020 Stockholm University has a collaboration agreement with Kulturhuset Stadsteatern (KHST). The collaboration is carried out on a number of different levels and includes a number of departments at the University.

Stockholm University works together with a number of museums around the capital. Through centres of expertise, guest professors, and shared projects, we contribute to collaborations in art, culture, and science.
