Have you found yourself in an acute crisis or become seriously ill? On this page, you’ll find contact details and important information for incidents or emergencies at Stockholm University.

Call 112 in emergency situations involving danger to life, health, or property.

You will be connected to SOS Alarm, which can dispatch

  • ambulance
  • fire and rescue services
  • police
  • Giftinformationscentralen (Swedish Poisons Information Centre)

Stockholm University has around 50 defibrillators on its campuses. They are placed in alarmed cabinets – when opened, an alert goes to security staff trained in CPR and AED.

  • Call 112 before starting CPR.
  • Send someone to meet the ambulance.

You can call this number to receive or provide information during serious accidents or crises in society.

If you need healthcare advice and are unsure where to turn, you can call 1177.

The service is available 24 hours a day, and you will receive professional medical advice in English or Swedish.

The likelihood of Stockholm University being affected by an attack is very low. However, if such an incident were to occur, the consequences could be extremely serious.

The Student Health Centre offers counselling and support for issues related to your studies or events that affect you at the university.

Student union (SUS) representatives can provide support and advice on study-related matters, such as stress, workload, or academic difficulties.

Students at Stockholm University can use the IA system to report

  • incidents (including near misses)
  • accidents or commuting accidents
  • work-related illness
  • environmental incidents
  • property or security incidents
  • safety observations

If you need to file a police report in connection with an incident at the university, this should also be done via the IA system.
