The Faculty of Social Sciences has qualified and high-quality research in various established disciplines and multidisciplinary research fields.

Within social science disciplines, there are strong links to current societal and political challenges, which generate key research questions.

In order to stimulate breadth as well as excellence in research, respect for the specific nature and conditions of the various research fields is required. This applies not least to the diversity of methodological approaches, such as qualitative and quantitative methods.
