Nobel Prize
The Nobel Prize, awarded each year since 1901, is the world's most prestiguous international award in recognition of academic, cultural, or scientific advances administered by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden. Four researchers from Stockholm University have received the Nobel Prize and a fifth has been awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
In 1968 Sveriges Riksbank established The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, which is also given by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, according to the same principles as for the Nobel Prizes.
