To eradicate extreme poverty, reduce the inequalities and injustices in the world, promote peace and justice and solve the climate crisis by 2030 – these are the four global goals of the UN Agenda 2030, which were ratified by the world's Heads of State and Governments at the UN Summit on September 25, 2015.

Sustainable planet, sustainable health – how science-based solutions can drive transformative change
On 1 June, in connection with the 50th anniversary of the UN's first environmental conference, Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Stockholm Environment Institute are arranging a one-day conference. The main focus is on how academia, through research and higher education, can contribute to the transition to a more sustainable development.
