Arrival information

This page helps you prepare for your arrival and check-in to university accommodation at Stockholm University. It covers how to notify your arrival date, where to collect your keys, how to get to campus – and what to arrange before moving in, such as required home insurance.

To ensure a smooth check-in, you must notify your expected arrival date at least one week in advance. Use the online form below to submit your details.

Key pick-up

  • You can collect your key from the first day of your tenancy agreement at the earliest.
  • You must present a physical photo ID, such as a passport or national ID card, when picking up your key.

Home insurance is mandatory if you are staying in Stockholm University housing.
It is also strongly recommended if you are renting privately.

Getting to Stockholm and Stockholm University

Arlanda Airport (65 km north)

You can reach Stockholm Central Station by

  • Arlanda Express (fast train, 18 minutes)
  • Flygbussarna airport coach
  • SL commuter train (use the SL journey planner).

Skavsta Airport (100 km south)

Take the Flygbussarna airport coach to Stockholm Central Station.

Västerås Airport (110 km west)

Take the Flygbussarna airport coach to Stockholm Central Station.

From Stockholm Central Station to Stockholm University

T-Centralen is the main metro hub in central Stockholm, located next to Stockholm Central Station. Take the red metro line (line 14) towards Mörby centrum and get off at Universitetet station.
