All apartments are furnished with table/desk, chair, mattress, wardrobe/drawers, lamps and basic kitchenware. Some apartments are furnished with a bookshelf, sofa/armchair, and coffee table. Studios have a single bed and one-bedroom apartments have a double bed. All apartments have stove and a refrigerator with either freezing compartment or a separate freezer. Larger apartments have an oven. Please note that you need to bring your own blanket, pillow, sheets and towels. 

Location

Approximately a ten-minute walk to Stockholm University Campus Frescati and subway station Universitetet. A five-minute ride with the subways red line to the city center. Five-minute ride with bus 50 from Professorslingan to bus stop Universitetet. 

Internet

In order to activate the internet connection at Docentbacken you need to have a Swedish personal identity number.

Laundry

For tenants at Docentbacken 1A and B there is a laundry room in the basement of Docentbacken 1A. Use basement key to open the door to the laundry room. Book laundry slot on the booking board outside of the laundry room. Move laundry booking cylinder to desired slot with small cylinder key. For tenants in Docentbacken 3-13 there are laundry rooms on the first floor of Docentbacken 3, 7 and 11. Use your basement key to open the door to the laundry room. Write your name on the booking schedule to book a laundry slot.

Laundry rules

• Only one booking is allowed at a time.
• If a booked slot is not used; another tenant may take over the booking once one hour has passed.
• Drying cupboard may be used 30 minutes after your time slot has ended.
• Turn off lights and close doors and windows when leaving.
• Clean laundry room after every use, according to the instructions posted in the room.
• Report machinery problems as soon as possible by calling 08-410 828 50.

Parking

24-hour pay-parking area in front of Docentbacken 1A and B and short-term parking along the street of Docentbacken. Car parking in garage is available at Docentbacken 3. For more information send an e-mail to: garage@naturvetaren.se. General information about parking: staff parking and Aimopark.

Designated parking area for bikes is found outside the main entrance and bicycle storage is available in the basement behind Docentbacken 1A and in designated areas on each garage floor.

Postbox

Post is delivered through the postbox in your apartment door.

Recycling

Household waste is disposed in disposal chutes in the stairwells of the building. Let wet garbage drain, put garbage in plastic bags and seal them tightly before putting them in the chute. Open lid of the chute carefully and be sure to close lid properly after disposal. A recycling room is accessed at entrance of Docentbacken 3. Enter with the electronic key, pass through the garage, and open the door named 'Miljörum' to recycle glass, plastic, cleaned metal cans, small cardboard items, newspapers, light bulbs, and batteries in the right bin according to the instructions found in the room.
