Sergelhuset

Sergelhuset is located in the heart of Stockholm, close to shopping, restaurants, cinemas, and much more. Several of the city’s most well-known landmarks – including the City Hall, the Royal Theatre, the Old Town, and the Royal Swedish Opera – are all within walking distance.

The building is a modern mixed-use property that combines apartments and offices. It also features two restaurants and a rooftop terrace. Completed in 2022, it forms part of a major urban development project aimed at creating a vibrant and exclusive new city centre.

At Sergelhuset, international guest researchers and doctoral students can rent fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments.

Public transport connections are excellent. Within a few minutes’ walk, you can access all three underground lines, commuter trains, and the tram to Royal Djurgården. From the central underground station, T-Centralen, the red line towards Mörby centrum takes you to Stockholm University’s Campus Frescati – station Universitetet – in just ten minutes.

By bicycle, the journey takes 15 to 20 minutes. From Stockholm Central Station, trains depart to Arlanda Airport (a 20-minute journey) as well as to other parts of Sweden.

Accommodation details

There are 16 studio apartments (42–45 square metres) and four larger one-bedroom apartments (61 square metres) with a combined kitchen and living room area.

All apartments have a private balcony, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. They are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, sofa, table, and chairs.

You need to bring your own duvet, pillow, bed linen, and towels.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, and microwave, dinnerware, and cooking utensils.

Each apartment has a washing machine in the bathroom. A shared laundry room is located in the basement. Book a laundry slot on the screen outside using your key tag.

Postbox is in the main entrance labelled with tenant’s name. Use your apartment key to open it.

Recycling facilities are found at the first door on your right when exiting the main entrance.
