The 2011 Stockholm University Honorary Doctors are:
- Markus Antonietti from the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam, who is one of the world's most eminent material chemists.
- Thomas Hylland Eriksen, Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo. A public debater and prolific author on the subject of contemporary cultural processes, not least from the perspective of globalisation.
- Miriam Glucksmann, Professor of Sociology at Essex University in England. A researcher studying labour and division of labour, production, distribution and consumption.
- Claes Grundsten, a nature and wildlife photographer and author of more than 25 books.
- Bo Kjellén, retired ambassador and former chief negotiator for Sweden in global climate discussions.
- Sandra Knapp, distinguished researcher from the Natural History Museum, London. A researcher within the field of global biodiversity.
- David Neuman, Curator and Director of the Stockholm Konsthall, the contemporary arts centre in Stockholm's Magasin 3 building.
- Thomas H. Ollendick, Professor of Psychology at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. His entire professional career has been devoted to working with psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents.
- Dinah Shelton, Professor of International Law at The George Washington University Law School and one of the most illustrious American researchers within the subject area of human rights and international environmental legislation.
- Beverley Skeggs, Professor at Goldsmiths, University of London, one of the leading international researchers within the area of Cultural Studies.
