About Aula Magna

Aula Magna is Stockholm University’s large meeting hall. Completed in 1997, it is one of architect Ralph Erskines’s premier accomplishments. It’s light and airy, fitted with light wood and generous walls of windows that overlook stately oaks.

This video showcases Aula Magna’s beautiful setting and includes a short introduction to the building.

Aula Magna’s Lecture Hall

The Lecture Hall is our largest meeting place with room for up to 1200 people. It is one of the largest of its kind in the country. It can even be divided into two sections with a partition wall.

The Lecture Hall is shaped like an amphitheatre with acoustics and advanced technology custom designed for conferences, presentations and lectures.
