The purpose of the event is to develop research collaborations between Sweden and China. The topics that will be presented and discussed in roundtable sessions are the following: An ageing society, Materials science, Sustainable development, and University management & education.

The Excellence Seminar is organised within the Swedish Academic Collaboration Forum by Lund University and Uppsala University in cooperation with China Association of Higher Education. The Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai Victoria Li, and former Director of the Shanghai Education Commission Dr Zhang Weijiang will attend the event.

The purpose of the China-Sweden Excellence Seminar is not only information exchange among researchers, but to address issues facing our societies and world today, and to develop lasting connections that lead to fruitful collaborations.
