Participants at the European Civic University meeting at Stockholm University.

Apart from Stockholm University, there are seven more institutions of higher education included:  National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), University of Bucharest (Romania), Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), Aix-Marseille Université (France), Sapienza Università di Roma (Italy) and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (Germany).

Rectors from all eight higher education institutions will attend the meeting. CIVIS is in a work intensive phase and is preparing for a joint application for the Erasmus+ call, which is meant to strengthen collaborations between European universities.

One of the core functions of the call is to create a higher degree of mobility for students around Europe. CIVIS will focus on the areas of health; cities, territories and mobility; climate, environment and energy; digital and technical transformation as well as society, culture and heritage.

The focus of the upcoming meeting will be on agreeing on the core ventures for the network in the coming years. The ventures will create good prerequisites for students and researchers to attend and collaborate with other higher education institutions within CIVIS.
