Project leader for the project is Maricela de la Torre Castro, Department of Physical Geography, who is awarded a contribution of 5,711,452 SEK for ”Social-ecological Analysis of gendered impacts from Marine Protected Areas – SEAgender”.  

The project will be conducted in Tanzania and Mexico, and as partners, representatives from Tanzania, Mexico, Norway and Canada will participate.

Research project grants in development research from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) are funded by the Government’s development aid funds, and the research shall be relevant to the fight against poverty and for sustainable development in low income countries.

The grant period can last between 1-4 years.
