Collaboration
The centre was formed in 2006 by Stockholm University, the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI).

The Bolin Centre for Climate Research has become an active participant in the University Alliance Stockholm Trio, alongside Karolinska Institutet, KTH, and Stockholm University. This alliance, established in 2019, brings together world-renowned institutions in medicine, technology, science, humanities, law, and social sciences to address global challenges.
With a shared focus on sustainability and climate-related research, the inclusion of the Bolin Centre further strengthens the consortium's expertise.
