Registration open for the Swedish Climate Symposium, 20–22 May

Are you a researcher, expert, or decision-maker working on climate change and its impacts? Registration is now open for the Swedish Climate Symposium—one of Sweden’s most important meeting places for climate research in 2026.

The Swedish Climate Symposium is a biennial conference co-organised by several Swedish universities, educational institutions and research centre’s. In 2026, the symposium will take place in Lund, with a strong focus on integrating cutting-edge climate science with societal perspectives and actionable strategies for accelerating climate solutions.

This year’s theme is Climate Research: Science, Society and Actions

Science: Deepen scientific understanding of climate change and identify critical knowledge gaps and research needs.
Society: Foster reflection, dialogue, and exchange between academia and societal actors. Together, we will explore how climate research can inform our understanding of the environmental and societal challenges ahead.
Actions: Examine the direct and indirect climate-related challenges facing Sweden and discuss how to address them through both climate adaptation and emissions reduction.
