CeMoF organizes a yearly workshop together with the Riksbank, providing PhD students with an opportunity to present their work within the fields of monetary policy and finance. In 2026, we are also giving a conference on bank crises and bank resolution with the Swedish National Debt Office. Find more information below.

The Fourth PhD Workshop in Money and Finance 2025
Workshop on 29 April 2025 at Albano, Stockholm University.
The day featured presentations by PhD students and junior researchers, each followed by comments from more senior academics. The research covered a broad range of topics – from the macroeconomic effects of housing prices to the distributional impacts of interest rate policy.
The workshop concluded with a keynote address by Ricardo Reis from London School of Economics and Political Science. In his talk, ”The anatomy of a peg: lessons from China’s parallel currencies”, he discussed insights from China’s currency regimes and exchange rate strategies.
