At the Department of Astronomy you can find a wide selection of courses taught in English. This includes all courses at the advanced level, as well as the third-year courses in our Bachelor programme.
Many courses at advanced level reflect the research areas we have at the Department of Astronomy and all our teachers are active researchers. Our research groups also host diploma workers, something that is highly appreciated by our students. You can find out more about our research here.
The Department of Physics, located in the same building, also offers courses in English which are available to our exchange students. The Department of Mathematics is also nearby, and you may be able to find complementary courses there.
Meet our exchange students
The Department of Astronomy is a very international department, where both staff and students come from all over the world. Our incoming exchange students are important to us, and we are happy to receive students from our partner universities throughout Europe. We also welcome students coming on university-wide agreements from further afield. But what are the reasons to choose the Department of Astronomy, and what’s it like to study at Stockholm University? Here is what some of our students had to say.
