On this website, you’ll find answers to many of the most common questions about your studies. We recommend starting there – it’s often the quickest way to get help. If you still have questions, we’re of course here for you.

Drop-in visits

Do you have a quick question? You’re very welcome to stop by without an appointment during our opening hours – this is the fastest and easiest way to get help.

If you prefer, you can also book an appointment to visit us at another time, even when the office is closed.

  • your full name (as registered in Ladok)
  • the course and/or programme your question concerns.

We use a shared email address so your question reaches the right person as quickly as possible.

Important information about sensitive personal data

Please do not send sensitive personal data by email. As a public authority, we are not permitted to handle sensitive personal data via email.

If you need to share information such as details about your health, please book an in-person meeting with one of our study counsellors instead. They are bound by confidentiality.

Study Adminstrators

For most practical questions related to your studies at BIG, you are very welcome to contact our study administrators.

Study Counsellors

You are welcome to contact a student counsellor if you would like advice or support, or if you wish to book a meeting to talk about:

  • choosing your courses
  • career opportunities
  • challenges or difficulties in your studies

If your enquiry involves sensitive personal data, please do not include this in your email. Instead, we recommend booking an in-person meeting.

All student counsellors are bound by confidentiality.

Education coordinator

Our education coordinator provides support with study administration and practical matters. This may include, for example:

  • assessing applications
  • answering questions about insurance and other practical aspects of your studies

Administrative Programme Directors

The administrative programme directors can answer questions related to the department’s educational offerings, policy decisions, and guidelines.

Laboratory Assistant

The laboratory assistant ensures that teaching laboratories and equipment function properly. This includes preparing materials and helping to create a safe and well-organised laboratory environment for both students and teaching staff.

Community Outreach Officer

The community outreach officer answer questions concerning Biology education and job market and help students finding their way trough the Swedish system of courses and degrees.
