When you have completed your studies, you need to apply for a degree certificate (diploma) to be formally awarded your qualification. The diploma is issued free of charge and can be highly valuable – it is often required when applying for doctoral studies or by employers. On average, students who hold a degree earn more than those who have completed their education but have not applied for their diploma.
