Master’s thesis
Master’s programmes at DSV end with a master’s thesis.
You select and apply relevant scientific methods to write an academic thesis related to one of the Department’s research areas.
A two-year master’s thesis consists of 30 credits and a one-year master’s thesis of 15 credits. You study at a 100 percent pace for a 30-credit thesis and at a 50 percent pace for a 15-credit thesis.
Before starting your master’s thesis
To be eligible for the master’s thesis course, you need to:
- Enrol by submitting a project idea before the deadline.
- Fulfil the requirements.
It is suggested for master students to write in pairs of two but you are also allowed to work on your own.
Master’s thesis during the spring semester
- The deadline for submitting your project idea is in the second half of November (the submission period starts in early November and ends in the second half of November).
- The course starts in mid-January.
