Record-breaking number of applications to DSV
DSV continues to attract master’s students. The topic of Computer and Systems Sciences dominates Stockholm University’s list of the most popular programmes.

Stockholm University has published a list of the most popular master’s programmes for the autumn of 2026. Of the 10 programmes on the list, 6 are offered at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV). Our master’s programmes rank 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 9th on the list.
The most popular programmes are the Master’s Programme in Data Science, Statistics and Decision Analysis (1,427 applicants), the Master’s Programme in Information Security (1,221 applicants) and the One-year Master’s Programme in IT Project Management (1,110 applicants).
They are followed by the Master’s Programme in Computer and Systems Sciences (1,017 applicants), the Master’s Programme in AI for Health (984 applicants) and the Master’s Programme in Strategic Information Systems Management (972 applicants).
