Jan Dierking is a member of the PhD thesis committee for Matias Ledesma (defence on Friday 31st of March).

Summary

Jan will introduce the Baltic Sea Integrative Long-term Data series - from his own department and running since 1987, which they have been extending with two own multi-week cruises per year.

Jan will also highlight his studies focusing on the trophic ecology of key species in the changing Bornholm Basins and western Baltic Sea, including a time series of benthic versus pelagic resource use by cod over a period of spreading anoxia obtained by cod otolith protein stable isotope analysis, and close with a brief discussion of future perspectives.
