This seminar will be presented by Prof. Marcos Méndez from the Global Change Research Institute at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain.

About Prof. Méndez
Prof. Méndez is an ecologist with diverse interests, mainly aimed at unraveling ecological and evolutionary patterns. His main lines of work deal with the evolutionary ecology of traits related to reproduction in plants, the diversity of sexual systems in angiosperms, and the structure of arthropod communities. Prof. Méndez is also interested in the conservation of arthropods, especially spiders, dragonflies and saproxylic beetles. In addition to field work, from the subarctic to the tropics, he regularly uses data mining and large-scale literature reviews, as well as citizen science projects
