Incoming exchange students

Once we have received the nomination, we will contact the nominated students and send information about the application process. Complete application forms need to be submitted online before the deadline, including an official academic transcript and a proof of language skills if available.

• 15 October for the spring semester

For any questions regarding exchange studies at our department please contact the Exchange coordinator at the Department of Economic History and International Relations.

• You need to be a registered student at one of our partner universities and there is a valid exchange agreement between your home university and the Department of Economic History and International Relations for the intended exchange period.
• You need to be nominated by the exchange co-ordinator at your home university before deadline.
• You have studied a minimum of 1 year / 60 credits at university level.

• Nominated students are expected to be highly proficient in English (spoken and written) in order to have a successful learning experience. We recommend exchange students to have a result of at least 550 points (paper-based test) or 213 points (computer-based test) on the TOELF-test. An official language test is not required, if your home university can proof your language proficiency.
• Students that have documentet proficiency in Swedish are welcome to apply for courses in Swedish.

Housing

Stockholm University rents and manages furnished rooms and apartments which are owned by other landlords in Stockholm. These are available to international students at Stockholm University.

Your application for accommodation will  be handled completely by the Housing Office. Visit the Housing Office's website for more information. If you still may have some unanswered questions concerning housing after having read through the information provided, please contact the Housing Office directly at housingoffice@su.se.
