Information for the Fall Term 2026 - Master Level

Selection Rounds 1 and 2

For selection 1, 10 July, you will receive an admission notice with response requirements from antagning.se/university admissions.se. The deadline for responses is 20 July. Students who do not answer by the deadline will lose their place in the course/programme.

Students who are accepted with conditions must respond to Antagning/University Admissions by 20 July in order to keep their place in on the list (either admitted or reserve). Conditions will be handled following 4 August when we return to the office.

For selection 2, 23 July, you will receive an email from our department with registration/roll call information Programme students will have an in person roll call on 24 August. More information will be sent in email.

Late registration

If you have forgotten to apply for a course, you can check if it is open for late applications after selection 1. Late applications can be made via www.antagning.se / www.universityadmissions.se. Due to the lengthy evaluation process, late applications are not accepted for the programmes.

Course registration

Individual courses will have online registration between 10-16 August. If you do not register for the course by 16 August, you will lose your place on the course. Internship Courses

If you have applied to one of our Master level Internship Courses (EH6106 or EH6103), internship agreements will be processed between 21-28 June. The August deadline for internship agreements is 24 August. Students cannot begin their internships until the agreement is signed and they are registered.

Mandatory roll call for students admitted to our programmes

Students admitted to our Master's programmes - Master's Programme in Global Political Economy or Master's Programme in International Relations - must attend a physical roll call on campus, 24 August, in order to be registered for the program.

Vacant places will be filled with reserve students at these mandatory roll calls. Further information will be sent to admitted and reserve students following Selection 2. There will be no online registration for programme students entering their first year. First year programme students will be manually registered following the mandatory roll call. Second year students and independent students will register online for their courses.

Reserve admission to courses with online registration

Reserve admission is expected to start no earlier than 17 August for our individual courses. Reserves will be contacted via email at the email address found on www.antagning.se / www.universityadmissions.se. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure their email address is up to date.

Reserve admission-Master Programme students

Reserve students on the list of one of our master programmes, must also attend the mandatory roll call on campus, 24 August, in order to have a chance at claiming a place in one of our programmes. If you are unable to attend the roll call, it is acceptable to send someone in your place. That person will need to bring your physical ID and their own physical ID. Electronic ID’s will not be accepted. After the admitted students have been called, reserves will be called in numerical order.

Re-registration-Master Level

Programme students needing to be re-registered or re-activated are to contact the masterstudenter@ekohist.su.se prior to 21 August. For independent students, re-registration is only possible if there is space available after 24 August.

The learning platform Canvas

Once you have activated your university account and registered for a course, you will have access to the course page in Canvas. There you will find all the course information that applies to your course. You can log onto you Canvas sites here: https://canvas.su.se

Studying with pedagogical support

To receive pedagogical support, you must book an appointment with Disability Services for targeted pedagogical support at the university so that you can receive a certificate indicating the services for which you are eligible. Book an appointment with Disability services as early as possible as waiting times can be very long. We cannot grant support for our exams without certificates issued by SU.
